使える文法とは?
What is practical grammar?

Most Japanese people, after all, have only the Japanese language to use as a basis in order to learn foreign languages. Since the first language Japanese people learn is Japanese, when they think about the meaning of foreign words they must learn by converting the meaning into Japanese, unless they are in a linguistic environment where the specific language is spoken and they can guess the meaning from the situation.

But then they are influenced by Japanese grammar or the meaning of Japanese expressions. For example, they can’t understand systems like perfect form because it doesn’t exist in the Japanese language. So the most important thing to learn in English is grammar, which shows the differences between Japanese and English based on the idea of “language transfer.”

I will talk about what the practical grammar based on the idea of “language transfer” is like next time.
